Our favorite gyro spot located in the city square of Argostoli! It has great traditional greek food with plenty of outdoor seating.
Our favorite Italian restaurant with amazing pizza and pasta! You can't go wrong with anything here but our favorites are their margherita pizza and pesto pasta.
A traditional greek BBQ spot with a fun dining experience as most meals are served directly on wax paper instead of plates! We would recommend getting here before 8pm for dinner as it gets busy and they don't accept reservations.
An amazing newer Italian restaurant with gorgeous sunset views! Located just 10 minutes from the Argostoli city center, their pizzas and pastas were both delicious. We recommend making a reservation here if you plan to visit.
Our favorite (and only) sushi spot on the island! Located in the center of the Argostoli square, Sepia offers delicious and fresh sushi using only the finest quality ingredients.

Argostoli Town is the Capital of Kefalonia and the main port, it is situated on the south-west coast of the island. This town is a busy harbour right on the water’s edge. Argostoli is well-known for its turtles. Turtles can be sighted early in the morning when fishermen return to the harbour after a night fishing.
Fiskardo is the picturesque Greek harbour village in the North of Kefalonia. Fiskardo is unique in that it is the only village in Kefalonia that has many original Venetian buildings intact and still in use. The port and marina are considered a boaters’ paradise and it is packed with yachts in the summertime.
Also in the North of the island you'll find Assos, a pretty village built within the cliffs, and among pine and cypress trees. Nearby, don't miss the beautiful Myrtos beach, which can be viewed from above as you travel the coast road past Assos and on to Fiskardo.
The cave lake of Melissani is one of the most impressive sights in Kefalonia. It is located in Karavomylos, an area close to Sami town. Melissani was discovered in 1951. It has become one of the most famous tourist attractions.
Quaint winery providing tastings and snacks at its location just past Makris Gialos Beach. Mon-Sat: 10:30-14:30 & 17:30-20:30. Sunday closed.
Myrtos is the most famous beach in Kefalonia. It is a large coast with turquoise waters and white sand, surrounded by steep cliffs. You can stop off on the way to Fiskardo or Assos and enjoy views of the beach from the coast road! We recommend enjoying this beach from afar but wouldn't recommend spending time to swim there as the water is typically more rough and it's a tourist trap.
Antisamos is a vast golden beach, surrounded by lush greenery. Many scenes from the Hollywood movie "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" were filmed here. The beach has a number of bars and restaurants, and you can have cocktails delivered directly to your beach bed.
The craggy cliffs that surround Petani beach are carpeted with green vegetation. The sea colors change due to a stream of water that trickles down the mountainside, making this a great snorkelling spot.
One of the largest beaches in Kefalonia, Skala boasts turquoise waters and a pine-fringed esplanade. Skala is all about sun, sea and food.
Definitely a popular beach for tourists so we recommend getting there early but has great food, beach beds, and water sports!
Me and Angelo's favorite beach on the island! The beach has typically calm water and sand opposed to rocks. It also has beach chairs and small bites with a delicious greek tavern next to it to grab lunch at!
Xi beach, known for its reddish sand and clay cliffs, is just 8 kilometers from the city of Lixouri, in the Paliki region. Due to its gorgeous colors, Xi beach is one of the most unique and beautiful beaches in Greece.
